OCU paper featured on the cover of Crystal Growth & Design
A research paper entitled "Light-Driven Rapid Peeling of Photochromic Diarylethene Single Crystals" by a research group led by Professor Seiya Kobatake, Lecturer Daichi Kitagawa, and Graduate Student Masato Tamaoki (2nd year Master's Course) of the Graduate School of Engineering was published on the cover of Crystal Crystal Growth & Design of the American Chemical Society. The cover was designed by Prof. Kobatake himself based on his research.
This research was published in a press release on April 16, 2021, and describes the world's fastest exfoliation of appropriately sized crystals (photoactuator elements) that also have photochromic compounds that change color when irradiated with UV or visible light.
