Donation ceremony from Higashi-Osaka West Rotary Club with letter of appreciation from OCU
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, OCU received a donation of hygiene products from the Higashi-Osaka West Rotary Club to support students in need due to COVID-19. A donation ceremony and were held and a letter of appreciation was given at the Takahara Memorial Hall, Sugimoto Campus, Osaka City University.
At the ceremony, Mr. Junzo Tateno, Past Governor of Rotary International District 2660, spoke about the background of the donation, and Mr. Hoitsu Kinjiyo, President of the Higashi-Osaka West Rotary Club, spoke about the purpose of the donation, which was to support students in need due to COVID-19.
From OCU, President Arakawa thanked everyone for the donation and gave a message about the status of the new coronavirus infections and also to the students who came to receive the donated items.
OCU received 6 items including sterilizing sheets, totaling more than 4,500 pieces, and distributed them to students. The distribution period was from June 22 (Tue.) to June 29 (Tue.), 12:30 to 14:00, at the Takahara Memorial Hall.
