On 10 August 2012 the Consul General Latypov of the Russian Federation met with Osaka City University (OCU) President Nishizawa.

Building on the successful academic exchange program between OCU and Saint Petersburg State University since the 1960’s, the Consul General proposed to advance exchange activities with universities in Russia, further discussed in good atmosphere during the meeting.
